Adventurer and Pathfinder clubs alongside the children’s divisions that meet during Sabbath School.
Children & Adolescents at Portmore
The children of the congregation meet in their own divisions during Sabbath School, with lesson material written for their age group and taught by members who prepare for them each week.
Beyond Sabbath morning, the Adventurer and Pathfinder clubs run through the year. Club work covers Bible study, drill, craft work, honours and camping, and gives children a place in the church that is theirs.
Parents are welcome to stay with their children in any division, and are asked to collect younger children directly from their teachers at the close of Sabbath School.
What this department is for
That a child’s first picture of God is a true one.
That every child is supervised, known by name, and returned to a parent.
That children take part in the worship life of the church, not only watch it.
That the children of this congregation move into the AY Society without falling through the gap.
