“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first.” 1 Thessalonians 4:16
Adventists hold that those who have died rest without consciousness until the resurrection at the return of Christ. This register is not a place of prayer for the dead. It is a place for a congregation to remember the people who sat in these pews, and to hold on to the promise that we will see them again.
